Working out is obviously the main part to gaining muscle mass, You have to do some sort of exercise to build any muscle. Work outs come in all types of routines, Each have there own benefits. Bodybuilding routines are specifically built for optimum muscle growth, These routines usually consist of working certain muscle groups on specific days and rest days to let the muscles repair and prevent fatigue. A bodybuilding routine would be the best routine for gaining muscle mass.
Sleep is a very important factor to gaining muscle mass, Also probably the easiest part of building muscle.
Sleeping lets your body rest and recover, While you sleep your body is repairing all the little tears in your muscles, This repairing process is what makes your muscles bigger. 8 - 9 hours of sleep a night is optimal for muscle growth, If you get to little sleep you might run in to fatigue while you workout which is never a good thing.
Bodybuilders have very strict diets which aid them in gaining muscle mass, These diets consist of high protein, high carbohydrates, and low fats. When building muscle you should have 1.5 to 2 times your body weight in protein a day, This is what your body uses to repair those rips in your muscles from working out. The excess amounts of carbohydrates is for energy, This is what your body burns off and keeps you going while you workout. Low fat is kind of obvious, You don't want to put on fat while you are trying to gain muscle, though you will put on some fat while you gain muscle, limiting your fat will lower the amount of fat you will gain in the process.
Gaining muscle mass isn't as hard as it seems, you just have to stay focused and stick to your goals, as long as you focus on the three key components mentioned above your muscle building experience should be a breeze.
